Phew what a beautiful day. Congratulations to all of you and especially to the novice racers competing in their first triathlon. We hope you will be back for more next year.

Also a special thank you to the 2 gentleman who sacrificed their races to help the lady who was knocked off her bike. You guys are the real heroes today. new_angel

Many thanks to Lise Parker and Mark Pilbrow (I think) and any others who stop to help after I was knocked off by a car near Sunbury. Sorry you didn't get to finish the race. I am very sore from bruising but otherwise fine. My husband's bike is a different matter!

Best regards, Marina Lim

Marina,

Thanks so much for letting us all know that you are okay.

We are all very glad that your injuries are not more serious. I will be in touch with you directly to discuss details and to provide you with supporting information for your own files. I will also submit the information in the BTA medical report which will be available to you.

Finally, I would like to say thank you to the competitors that stopped and assisted you. They gave up their race day when they saw you in need. I know that this may be a rare act of selflessness in the world today but it is most definitely not rare in our sport. I don't recall reading the "Triathlete code" but there definitely is one!

We at Thames Turbo would like those competitors that stopped and assisted to make themselves known to us (we have 4 race numbers so far) and we will refund your entry fees and rustle up a small prize for you too.

Good luck Marina, hope the grazes are soon gone, see you again at a TTTC race we hope, and you know where we are if you need us.

PS - Thanks to everyone that raced yesterday...to everyone that marshaled and thereby made the race possible...and thanks to the sponsors for contributing their products and support throughout 2005. We hope to see you ALL again in 2006!!

PPS - Please don't forget to vote for us in the "220 Magazine 2005 Awards"...we'd like to hold on to our title from 2004 please.. . (Best Triathlon < 500 entries)

Hello Turbos,

Just like to add my thanks to all who have any input to the organisation, running of, time-keeping and marshalling of the races through the year. I thoroughly enjoy the races and I'm looking forward to competing next year already - well, I will be when I get my bike fixed!

Cheers,

The eagle-eyed ones amongst you will notice the results have changed slightly. I have just added the usual time penalties for those who took longer than the allowed 7mins in the 'dead zone'.

Those effected have the code 'LT' ie long transition in the adobe version of the results. The HTML version tells you how much you were penalised by. Hope no one is too offended or shocked. 5shocking

Any queries on your result then please email me at annabel_in_oz@yahoo.com and i will happily look into it for you. Your deadline for queries is Monday...

Here are the results by age group and alphabetically for you.

Any more queries please email me at annabel_in_oz@yahoo.com by Monday when the results become final.
